Easy Toasted Macaroni and Cheese Sandwich

This is a different way to eat your macaroni and cheese and if you like carbs you're gonna think it's awesome because you get to double up on carbs for this sandwich - toasty bread with a layer of mustard and filled with creamy macaroni and cheese. There are a ton of different types of cheese sandwich recipes out there and this has to be one of the more unique ones. Making this is a good way to use up any leftover macaroni and cheese. If you don't have any left over you can easily just whip up a packet of KRAFT Easy Mac which you can make in the microwave. You can easily put together two sandwiches with one packet. 

Here's what you need:
  • 2 slices bread (Wonder bread is great for this!)
  • 3/4 macaroni and cheese (extra points if you fry it in some butter before hand)
  • yellow mustard
Here's what to do:
  1. Toast your bread (it's pretty important to get a good toast on it cause you don't want soft bread with soft mac, it'll be mushy)
  2. Spread a thin layer of mustard on both pieces of toast
  3. Pile on the macaroni and cheese on one of the pieces of bread and spread it out evenly
  4. Stack the other piece of bread on, mustard side down
  5. Give it a good squish
  6. BAM! A starchy, cheesy, carb-loaded meal, perfect for a glass of milk and your favorite T.V. show

Chicken Bacon Club Sandwich

The club sandwich recipe is definitely a classic. It's called a club sandwich because it is very popular  at resorts and country clubs. Today you can find the sandwich at many restaurants and they are also popular at hotels. It's origins can be traced back and found on U.S. menus from 1899 or even earlier, so people have been enjoying this sandwich for a over a century. It can also be called a clubhouse sandwich and a double-decker type, made with three slices of bread and two layers of fillings. The club sandwich is believed to be invented by line cook Danny Mears in the late 19th century at an exclusive gambling club in Saratoga Springs, New York. Traditionally the bottom layer of the club has turkey and the top layer of filling is bacon lettuce and tomato, and cheese is sometimes also added as well. Here's what you need:
  • 3 slices white bread, toasted and buttered
  • 3 oz. chicken breast, sliced thinly
  • 2 pieces of bacon, cooked
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • lettuce leaves
  • mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • sliced pickles
  • 4 toothpicks
Here's what to do:
  1. Take one slice of toast and spread the chicken out on the buttered side
  2. Take another slice of toast and lay it buttered side down on top of the chicken
  3. Spread your mayonnaise or salad dressing on the dry side of toast
  4. Lay out lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes and bacon slices
  5. Use the final slice of toast and cover the sandwich, buttered side down
  6. Take the four toothpicks and pin the sandwich in a diamond pattern all the way to the bottom
  7. Cut the sandwich into quarters
  8. Serve with fries, chips or dill pickles

Poor Man's Sandwich

Ok this is one of the more strange sandwich recipes you'll see around. The poor man's sandwich combines peanut butter with some ingredients you definitely wouldn't expect: mayonnaise, onions and pickles. This is called the poor man's sandwich because obviously all these ingredients are pretty inexpensive and you could probably rustle them up easily from your own kitchen.
Here's what you need:
  • 2 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 2 slices wheat bread
  • thinly sliced pickles
  • thinly sliced onion 
  • 1 teaspoon onion
  • Adjust the amount of ingredients to your liking. If you love pickles...add a lot. Can't stand the bite of onion...just leave them out.
Here's what to do:
  1. Smear the peanut butter on one piece of bread
  2. Take your thinly sliced onion and put a layer on top of the peanut butter
  3. Toss some pickles on top to your liking
  4. Spread the mayonnaise on the other slice of toast
  5. Place them together and eat!
If you have the guts to try this freaky sandwich, it's pretty good. Even though the ingredients are way out there, they somehow go good together. There's a little sweet and sour chemistry goin' on with the pickles and peanut butter. And even if you don't like it you'll at least get some good laughs when people figure out what the hell you are eating.

Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are a perfect choice for packing in your lunch box. They're great for vegetarians and will stay good throughout the morning unlike some other sandwiches that can get nasty by sitting around for a few hours. Yep, so it's perfect for making a handful if you are going to have a picnic or spend a long day at an amusement park and don't want to fork out lots of cash at the restaurants. And it's really simple too! You only need three ingredients to make it and it's super easy and only takes a few minutes tops.


Here's what you need:
  • 1/2 ripe banana sliced into thin circles
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons breakfast cereal (frosted flakes, cinnamon toast crunch, etc.)
Here's what to do:
  1. Toast your bread, if you like it toasty.
  2. Spread the peanut butter on both slices of bread
  3. On one slice of bread, spread the thinly sliced bananas
  4. Sprinkle your breakfast cereal on the other slice, for a little crunch of course.
